The Renovations

Importantly, under the revised plan, the existing Lower School facilities will be retained, allowing the younger students to remain in their classrooms during construction of the plan. Additionally, the Lower School, which will be refreshed and repainted, will retain its welcoming courtyards, the Bell Tower, and play areas. Finally, some existing Lower School classroom space will be rededicated so that programs that currently share space, i.e., drama and primary art, will no longer do so.

Buckley’s athletic program will be enhanced by dedicating Disney Pavilion primarily to the indoor athletics program. A new Aquatic Center, featuring an outdoor swimming pool and a Pool House with lockers, changing area, and equipment storage space will be added at Gilley Field. An existing parking lot will become an outdoor basketball court with the addition of pavement striping and hoops.
