Finding A Balance
The Campus Enhancement Plan was crafted with significant input from the Buckley community, and from our neighbors. The result is a plan that will help ensure the campus can serve our present and future program needs, with the least possible impact on current students or the surrounding community. Here are a few aspects of the Campus Enhancement Plan that highlight Buckley’s commitment to address community concerns:
- The Plan will reduce traffic congestion. Elimination of queuing on Stansbury, in conjunction with carpool and bus programs, are essential pieces of the plan that aim to improve school-related traffic impacts.
- The Campus Enhancement Plan will not lead to a substantial increase of the student body. Buckley is planning for a modest increase of just 80 Upper and Middle School students over time to support the school’s high academic standards and broad curriculum. Enrollment will be capped at 830 students.
- Construction will not impede ongoing education or campus operations and will proceed on a tight schedule to limit neighborhood disruption. Buckley has developed a phased construction schedule to accommodate students and the neighborhood.
