Financial Aid
The Buckley School offers financial assistance to families with demonstrated need based on an evaluation by School and Student Services for Financial Aid (SSS), Princeton, New Jersey. SSS is an independent needs assessment program used by thousands of independent schools nationwide. Families interested in applying for such assistance must complete the Parents’ Financial Statement (PFS), available online at https://sss.ets.org. This form gathers in one place the relevant information about your family size, income, expenses, and more so that schools can calculate financial need and determine the actual financial aid grant. SSS analyzes the information on the PFS to estimate your family’s ability to contribute to educational expenses.
If you would like to apply for financial aid, please call 818-461-6708 to request a financial aid packet. In order to be considered for financial aid, the Admission Office must receive the following information no later than February 1:,
- Buckley’s monthly budget sheet
- A signed copy of your completed 2008 Federal tax form 1040
- All supporting schedules and W-2 forms
- A signed, but not dated, IRS Form 4506
Did you know?
- The completed Parents’ Financial Statement (PFS) should be filed no later than February 1. We encourage parents to file online at https://sss.ets.org.
- All financial aid requests are kept separate from admission folders. Financial need is not a factor in determining admission to Buckley.
- Every application for financial aid is reviewed annually.
- If a family does not apply for financial aid the year they apply for admission – and without a significant, documented change in their financial status – they will not be awarded financial assistance in future years.
- In case of divorce or separation, financial information is required of both parents.
